RESORT

Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is a scenic three-hour drive from Sydney, located on Australia’s Great Dividing Range between the Wollemi National Park and the Gardens of Stone National Park, within the World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains. The resort occupies just one percent of its own 2,800-hectare conservancy. The Wolgan Valley is approximately 26 kilometres long and seven kilometres wide. Steep cliffs contrast with the gentle curve of the valley floor and a picturesque road winds along the river to reach the resort on the eastern end.

ADVENTURES & ACTIVITIES

EXPLORE BY HORSEBACK
Take in the majesty of Wolgan Valley atop one of our resort’s beautiful horses – our sprawling reserve was made for riding. Choose from a 90-minute trail ride or a tailored, half-day journey in the surrounding valley. Or, for equestrian novices, there’s the opportunity to get acquainted with our charming horses with a stable tour or an introductory arena ride.

BUSHWALKING IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
Inhale the clean, crisp air as we guide you through verdant grasslands, pristine creeks, river crossings and mountain treks in our 2,800-hectare reserve. Hikes can be tailored to suit fitness levels and interests, exploring wildlife, bush ecology or cultural heritage. From our Glow Worm Tunnel walk to more challenging Donkey Mountain treks, there are adventures for everyone.

AUSSIE WILDLIFE
Set free your inner explorer and go wild on our spectacular reserve, encountering native residents such as kangaroos, wallabies, possums and koalas and more. Our 4WD tours will take you through scenic tracks through our untouched environment – be sure to have your camera at the ready.

BIRD-WATCHING
Wonder at the diverse birdlife of Wolgan Valley and the Blue Mountains, where more than 150 bird species can be spotted. Local species include the wedge-tailed eagle, cockatoos, lorikeets, kookaburras, black-shouldered kites, falcons and nankeen kestrels.

HISTORICAL TOURS
You’ll be engrossed as you learn the details of the meticulous efforts necessary to restore Wolgan Valley’s original homestead to its former glory. Our Field Guides will walk you back in time through the fascinating history of Australia’s early settlers and the challenges they faced.

STARGAZING AND CAMPFIRE EXPERIENCE
This tour will introduce you to Australia’s spectacular night sky. The remote nature of the reserve provides an unforgettable opportunity to experience the southern sky free from the competing lights of cities and towns. You will be collected from the homestead by your private guide, where you will be driven by 4WD to your remote, personal campfire. As you settle down to enjoy some delicious treats prepared for you by our culinary team, your guide will prepare the telescope for a tour of the southern sky.

NOCTURNAL WILDLIFE SPOTTING TOUR
This 4WD tour provides a memorable opportunity to observe some of Australia’s unique wildlife when they are most active. As the sun goes down, many of our smaller, less common animals emerge from their burrows, nests, tree hollows and dens to start foraging throughout the night. Your Field Guide will seek out the best places to encounter possums, wombats, gliding marsupials and owls, and to observe the nocturnal behaviour of kangaroos, wallabies and wallaroos.
